The BAU Trade Fair in Munich is the world's leading fair for architecture, materials and systems. Every two years, it opens its doors to the trade public such as engineers, architects, project designers, tradesmen, building material suppliers, construction contractors and representatives of the real estate sector. The official 2011 trade fair opening ceremony took place at the Eastern entrance for the first time.

Welcome speeches within the framework of the so-called ribbon-cutting ceremony were held by Dieter Schäfer, Chairman of the BAU Exhibitors' Committee and Chairman of the Board at Deutsche Steinzeug Cremer & Breuer AG. In his welcome speech, the German Minister for Transport, Construction and Urban Development, Dr. Peter Ramsauer, underlined the significance of the BAU and forecast 'tangible growth of 1.5 to 1.8' for the industry in 2011. Mustafa Demir, the Turkish Minister for Public Construction and Housing, who had travelled to Munich at the invitation of the German Ministry of Building and Construction, appeared to be impressed by the size, flood of visitors, wide range offered and high-quality presentations at the Fair. What's more, Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, CEO at Messe München GmbH, and Stefan Thurn, President of the Association of German Building Materials Retailers, also directed some words of welcome towards visitors. On his rounds of the Fair, the German Minister for Transport, Construction and Urban Development, Dr. Peter Ramsauer, paid his first visit to the Deutsche Steinzeug Cremer & Breuer AG stand with its AGROB BUCHTAL and Jasba brands ... … where he obtained information on new products offered by the AGROB BUCHTAL façade range.
